The Bombay is a solid black cat, medium in size and muscular in development. Its coat is short and fine with a silk-like texture, close-lying to the skin with a patent-leather sheen. In agreement with the color, the nose leather and paw pads are also black. The eyes should have rounded apertures with gold to deep copper coloring.
